Evangelism Ministry
Sons of God......... March Forward
The Evangelism Ministry is the evangelistic wing of the church. The main objective of the Ministry is soul winning through effective evangelism. Strategies of Effective Evangelism are therefore the main lessons taught at witness classes. Other lessons offered by the Ministry are Principles, Constitutions and Tenets of the church; in-depth study of the bible and exploration of other biblical mysteries. The discussions around these topics aimed at producing well-informed church members who would not be swayed by any false teaching i.e. any teaching that contradicts Biblical principles. The activities of the Evangelism Ministry also include visitation, follow-up, counseling and nurturing of new converts and backsliders. Complementary lessons on playing a role in the church such as leading chorus and worship and conducting other services are also treated to produce dynamic members in the local assemblies.
The Evangelism Ministry prays for the growth of the church; intercede for the afflicted, sick, and the lost; and train the youth and the singles to live pure lives and to effectively serve the Lord.
In addition to its core evangelical roles, the ministry organizes interesting programs such as marriage seminars, debates, quizzes, drama, symposia, etc. The ministry is open to all groups of people, regardless of age, gender, position, etc.
History of the Ministry
Known also as the ‘backbone’ of the church, the Evangelism Ministry started as the Young People’s Ministry; only embracing members between 16 and 25 years old. The members met to pray and study the word of God. This was followed by the emergence of an evangelistic group called “The Bombing Group”, a name which was derived from the World War II, when the allied forces bombed their enemies’ territories.
It was this same evangelistic fervor which moved men like the late Apostle J. Egyir Paintsil, Evangelist L. A. Nyarko, Elders Johnny Mallet, Amissah Andoh, and many others from the bombing group; thus bombing the kingdom of the devil to set men and women free from the bondage of sin into the Kingdom of God. This group emerged at the beginning of the church and gave itself to prayer, fasting, bible study, and all-night service to be well equipped for God’s ministry. Through the directions of the Holy Spirit, the group went out to preach and establish churches in different places. This really promoted the establishment of the kingdom of God in the once occupied territories of Satan.
Around 1950, the name Witness Movement was adopted for the group and was unanimously accepted by the Church. The age limit was therefore removed after the introduction of the broad-spectrum name and the door was opened to all members of the church (men and women both old and young) to the work of witnessing. Since the group was constantly waging war against Satan, their battle cry was “Victory, through the blood of Jesus”. With time, other slogans like “Sons of God, March forward”, ”A rise and Shine”, etc. followed.
The Vision and the Mission of the Evangelism Ministry are;
•To serve as the oxygen pipe of the church that spearheads all outreach programs.
• To get the word of God to the un-reached.
• To offer training to the local assembles.
• To nurture new converts with the fundamental doctrines of Christ.
•To collaborate with other movements in the Church for joint revivals, retreats and evangelical programs.
• To take part in church planting programs.

The Youth Ministry
Slogan: YOUTH
Arise and Shine!
The Youth Ministry of the Church of Pentecost comprises all members between the age of 12 and 19. Sandwiched between the children and adult, this group was formed to enable the youth to meet and learn topics pertaining to their stage.
The church strives to live up to our divine responsibility of bringing them up in the fear of God. Most topics treated in a typical youth class are mainly to encourage the youth to live pure lives and flee from youthful lusts. Lessons on the life of Joseph, Daniel, Timothy, Samuel, etc. are prevalent in the youth syllabus.
The youth is also exposed to the works and gifts of the Holy Spirit, the various ministries in the church, and the need to develop a strong relationship with God. The ministry prepares the youth towards their future responsibilities in their service to God and the community.
The Church of Pentecost recognizes that in these end times our youth are faced with tremendous challenges in their spiritual, social, emotional, moral, and educational lives, on a daily basis. Consequently, the COP engages our youth in diverse programs aimed at providing opportunities that help to equip these young ones for meeting the challenges of the times. Activities around the nation include Bible studies and quizzes, cultural expressions, revival meetings, musical festivals, talent explosions, trips, youth camps, and evangelism.
The COP envisions the expansion of our educational programs to include tutoring, technological seminars, counselling, and library facilities to help prepare our youth towards taking up their place as our responsible successors.
Our Slogan: Youth!! ..... Arise and Shine! Youth!! .......... Remember your Creator now!!!
The vision and the mission of the Youth Ministry
• To mobiles the youth in and outside the church and offer all kinds of training
